The Beaches

On your next Blairgowrie beachside retreat, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Due to the narrow width of Blairgowrie, all our holiday homes are walking distance to both bay and ocean beaches.

Bay Beach/Front Beach on Port Phillip Bay: swim in the cool, calm waters at Cameron’s Bight, Koonya Beach, and Tyrone Foreshore which stretches between Blairgowrie and Rye Front Beach. Perfect for all ages as the sand bank remains shallow for about 200 metres.

Ocean Beach/Back Beach on Bass Strait: a local favourite are the Blairgowrie Rock Pools in Bridgewater Bay along the magnificent Bass Strait. To get the most from your seaside outing, its best to head to the back beach at low tide, which you can check via this link.

Blairgowrie Beach Walk: if you’re searching for a Blairgowrie beach walk, Bridgewater Bay is the spot for you. Getting there: Take the St. Johns Wood walking track which ends in a fork, turn left and take the stairs down to the beach or continue along the walking track which will take you passed Pirate Bay Caves, Prickly Rocks, and Pearse’s Beach – approximately a 20 minute walk from Bridgewater Bay car park to Pearse’s Beach.
